As far from a Hitachi as the sun is from the moon! If you’re looking for a replacement for a Hitachi, look elswhere. This thing is incredibly wimpy. Perhaps it’s because of the weak spring that the head is mounted on…it’s so floppy that even shaking the handle slightly makes it wobble…jiggle a Hitachi, even one of the newer plastic headed ones, and the head doesn’t move much independent of the handle.
